In a world which seems ever more hectic and where people seem to be immersed in worry and fear, an attitude of kindness goes a long way. Kindness is a key which opens doors. A smile, a word of thanks, a gesture or a look of real understanding, make a world of difference. However, we often overlook the one person who needs our kindness the most – ourselves. When we start to cultivate an attitude of kindness towards the self, we are able to give a little more compassion to the world around us.

The talk will explore and experiment with some of the simple ways to change our thought processes so that kindness becomes a way of being.

Jane Kay first started meditating with the Brahma Kumaris in Brazil in 1981. She spent many years in Brazil, Florida and Costa Rica co-ordinating activities for BK centres. She is currently a Teaching Fellow at the University of Leeds. Jane is a warm, engaging and insightful speaker with a wealth of experience. She enjoys sharing the wisdom contained within the teachings of Raja Yoga and the benefits of their practical application in her life.
